Proverbs 3:5 ESV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Psalm 46:10 ESV
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 28:7 ESV
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
There are many scriptures in the Bible that instruct us to trust God with all our entire life. But how can we trust him when our entire life is upside down?
When you know God you know his way of working with us. We need to trust and believe just like a parent that wants what’s best for us. Do you know the story of Jobs? Well this man was a true, true follower of God, but satan decided to test his loyalty to God by destroying him, but God warn satan and told him “ Do what you want, but don’t take his life”. Satan agreed and left him afflicted with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. His family was gone, his wife kept insisting that he curse God. Yet, Job never did. He went through a lot, from a men who had it all to a men who had none. But one thing he did not loose was his trust, faith and believe in God. When Satan saw that he would not curse God he left him alone. God blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters.
You see when our life gets turned upside down, we loose faith, we curse God, we curse the day we were born. That is the wrong thing to do. God has a purpose for our lives but Satan will not miss an opportunity to intervene in what God is doing for us. You might think the guy next door is selling drugs and having a bountiful life, trust me that is Satans doing not God, the moment they tried to leave Satan will step in. That’s the difference between God and Satan, God gives us free will to choose, free will to make decisions, good or bad. It is up to us to decide what we choose to do. We are all gifted with the Holy Spirit, he guides us and sometimes we listen, sometimes we don’t. You know that “gut feeling” you get when something doesn’t feel right or you are second guessing your self. It’s the Holy Spirit trying to correct you.
Here is an example, you go to the store, you know you don’t have any extra money to spend, yet you want to buy a pair of shoes, you know you shouldn’t because then you wouldn’t be able to pay for that bill or buy food, yet your do. As you goin through the day, it bothers you that you did that so you end up returning it. That’s the Holy Spirit letting you know your choice is wrong. God give us free will to do what we choose. But he tries to help guide us the right path in many ways.
Next time you get upset at God for not helping you, ask your self, when did I not listen to him? When did I use my free will?
Regardless, he will always welcome you with open arms, you are his beloved child. What parent doesn’t want the best for his kids, if we earthly parent would move mountains for our kids, Imagine what our Heavenly Father would do for us. He loves us, He is full of love, mercy, compassion and arms open just waiting for us.
How much does God Loves us? Take a look at the cross with him crucify in it, you see how spread his arms are? That’s how much he loves you. Now ask yourself, Do I love you that much?
Always, always trust God, he will never forsake you if you trust him with your entire life. Always Thank him not only on good times but even in your worse times, thank him for giving you the opportunity to experience turmoils, tribulations and hurt, without those we will never know how good our Father is and how much he loves you to make changes in you
Dear Father, Bless the person reading this post, bless them so they can understand your love and mercy. Listen to their prayers, speak to them because we all seek your love, we seek that fellowship with you. Don’t let the enemy get a strong hold on them, show them that what you have promise in the Bible you will fulfill, that if they trust in you there is nothing you wouldn’t do for them, that what man cant do its not impossible with you. Lord, have mercy in them and forgive them for their sins for they do not know what they have done. Forgive them and make them new, for those suffering from sickness, heal them, those suffering from brokenness, put them together, for those suffering from emotions, restore their stability, for those alone, keep them company, for those terminally ill, give the family peace knowing they will be with you and their time is yours not theirs and that angels come into our lives to teach us but they most go back to heaven when they are done. In your name I pray. Amen.
